Black and gold on the cover and an impressive amount of projects on the inside: the Jan van Eyck Yearbook 2008 shows, without any trace of false modesty, an elaborate overview of the work carried out by the artists, designers and theoreticians in the academy in 2008. The various research projects/events deal with a wide range of burning issues, including ‘authorship’ and ‘ideology critique’, ‘public space’ and ‘involvement’. The book concludes with an explanation of the academy’s institutional policy.
The new yearbook was designed by Jayme Yen, former researcher in the Design Department. If you want to assess the result yourself: a short message to ankie.bosch@janvaneyck.nl suffices to become the proud owner of a Jan van Eyck Yearbook 2008. Please state your coordinates and your language of preference (Dutch or English). Be fast, since there is only a limited amount of copies available.
